Carolina Wind

In 2013 I was given the opportunity to travel to Germany and be part of a bluegrass group doing a 3 week tour to promote fellowship between certain German communities and several areas near the NC. foothills. This was and hopefully always will be an ongoing project for our tour sponsors, The Western Piedmont Sister Cities organization. Promoting good will thru music and fellowship, we were able to add substantial numbers to the membership and overall excitement for the WPSC organization.
Along with Myself on Guitar and Joseph Hasty on bass, we were joined by David Pendley on mandolin and Patrick Crouch on banjo. Joseph and I from the Drive South Band, (Morganton and Hickory, NC area), David Penley on loan from his regular group, "Whitewater Bluegrass Company",(an Asheville area group) and Patrick from his long time band called "Strictly Clean and Decent" (of the Lenior, NC area). Each Band member has ties to specific areas of interest to the WPSC community. In that way, the group "Carolina Wind" could accurately represent those areas.
